Dementia-friendly cleaning

Calm, familiar visits planned around the person, with a nurse-designed approach.

For a person living with dementia, a stranger in the home can be worrying. Our approach was designed by a Registered Nurse with dementia expertise. It keeps each visit calm, predictable and respectful.

What's included

  • The same cleaner, on the same day and time
  • Your cleaner knocks, says their name and why they are there, every time
  • Things are put back exactly where they belong
  • Nothing is thrown out without asking
  • Care notes agreed with you and your family, such as 'no scented sprays'
  • Cleaners who have finished our dementia-friendly lesson

Good to know

  • We respect the person's choices, even when they are different from ours.
  • If a cleaner is worried about someone's safety, they tell our coordinator straight away.
